I like them without pinstripes myself. A lot of dealers used to pinstripe these cars like that.
did you noticed what my frame of the license plate says..

man.....we had a windy ass day yesterday and i came home, and a decent size branch of a tree was laying next to my TGP, and i walk over, it must have flown over and hit the side of it because there were broken peices of limb everywear and a bunch of big ass deep scratches. i dunno if theyll fully buff out but they might be un-noticable.

I sure like those rims, I haven't seen any that good since 92' when I bought my GTP off the showroom floor.  :worshippy:

Sorry these pics aren't in very good color, it was cloudy and I had the wrong settings on my camera.  :icon_rolleyes: I live near a pier that stretches toward the west, so that'll be much more interesting in late afternoon.

I've been looking for some TGP forum that the previous owner pointed out, and I believe this is the site. Lots of good information and I've already found fixes to a few problems with the car just now on here. Nice.

So, can you think of a better 16th birthday present that I have to pay for myself?

Only problems are cosmetic (clear-coat is degraded along rear bumper and side mirrors) and convenience device related (Driver's side window won't go down, false warning lights, etc.), Leather only (no sunroof or CD), and just 72k miles. Paint is OK, but I'm picky about the mm-sized scratches to bare metal on the hood for some odd reason. Runs just fine. Cooling converted to run on R-134a. Anything that I can't remember which has broken has already been fixed. It's mine for $3000, and I'm a third of the way there, only because child labor laws have been getting in the way.

that thing is CLEAN.  Nice pick up!

All I used were ArmorAll wipes on everything and a carpet cleaner (+ScotchGuard) for the mats. Unfortunately, said current owner lives under some very big trees, with no garage and just our vinyl boat cover protecting it (I know that's a no-no because they won't let moisture out like cloth ones, but remember, my parents won't pay for a better one if the current one doesn't actually implode on the car), so the mats will always have small fragments of dead leaves on them.

Actually, I believe the carpet was colorfast towards the ScotchGuard and that that could explain why the carpets look so clean. Of course, they could've been just very, very dirty. And, of course, the interior smells like a drunk guy's because of the SG. More incentive to do the speed limit, because a 16-year-old in a red, fast, loud coupe that smells like alcohol getting pulled over? Yeah.

It was kinda nice outside this morning, but my parents were busy and couldn't ride with me to pick up the car until noon, when I had about 15 seconds to take a few good pictures before it was overcast again. It's been raining the past hour now, and I won't be able to get shots of it by the pier I mentioned earlier if this keeps up.

^^^ As you can see, this wheel, as well as the others, have a lot of that oxidation or whatever it's called. I saw instructions on how to fix them somewhere else on the website, but, once again, no money or clear skies.

^^^ I know there are instructions for cleaning this mess as well, but there was a lot of controversy over the effectiveness of Simple Green for this job.
