intake gasket set
« on: July 05, 2010, 12:08:49 PM »
is the fel pro molded rubber gasket set available for our motor?

i've been to autozone and all i've been able to find is the paper gaskets

i have 1.6 rockers, lifters and pushrods to put in and i'd like to get the best gasket set available

also, it looks like i can change the oil pan gasket without taking the getrag out.  anyone here done it?

I think my newest fel pro upper intake gasket set was metal with rubber lining the intake ports. I don't remember what the LIM gasket looked like. I don't think I have the PN laying around..

the T series permadry sets are only available for the 3x00 series engine if i remember correctly, never came across them in the listing for the earlier models.

The standard fel-pro kits work fine for the 3.1 MPFI's. I've been running them for 7+ years. They're as good as the factory stuff was or maybe better.

That's kinda how I felt when I pulled the heads off my 89 for the first time and found out I had copper core head gaskets on it. I really was unsure about the felpros but they are holding fine.
