Crossover is decent. The PO had steel straps welded around the bellows. I will post some pics in the next few days. I got home with it after dark last night and I was out of the house by 6 this morning.

Yesterday I picked up a 1990 TGP. It's got 153k on it. It's solid, in running condition. But it has some quirks. I am very familiar with the motor, I've put one into my Z24, and I've put them in someone else's Z24.  The car has some brake issues. I'm not sure what yet.  Pedal is a little soft, and the PMIII runs every time I push the brakes. The pedal also doesn't return all the way to shut off the brake lights. The PO just did pads, rotors and calipers. I'm thinking (hoping) it needs to be re-bled. The gauges don't work. It needs a good cleaning. I did notice that if I step on it good, it kinda falls on its face, and smokes out the tail pipe like crazy.  The radio is locked. I think the steering wheel controls are supposed to light up, but they don't. Drivers window doesn't work. That's an easy fix. Seems to be missing the sunroof shade. Sunroof has a lot of wind noise. I have to play with the button to get it to shut right. Should it self-home when I close it or is that normal?  Any tips, suggestions, part sources, good upgrade suggestions all appreciated.  :icon_biggrin:

Thanks for the reply. ABS light flashes. No brake light on the dash. Cluster needs work anyway. Not a steal, but not crazy money either. $1900. 153k. Body is great. Needs a little paint touch up. Carpet behind the rear seats under the back window needs to be replaced. New struts, new rubber, rotors, pads and calipers. I'm thinking he didn't bleed the master. I hope anyway. It's not perfect, but nothing I can't clean up.

Any info would be helpful. I need to make a decision by the afternoon. Either buy the car or get my deposit back. I know these things have powermaster problems. I would think if it were that, the car would have a hard pedal. I don't know enough about these PMIII systems.

Hello all.  I put a deposit down on a 1990 TGP today. ABS light flashes, pedal is squishy. Has new pads, rotors and calipers. Owner suggested ABS needs to be bled.  Any suggestions?

I do also have the rear turbo exhaust manifold to go with it. 

I am selling a freshly rebuilt motor.  Includes everything except the crossover pipe and the turbo.  I had one made specifically to put into my Cavalier.  It has been freshly painted & powdercoated.  I am including the starter, oil cooler, alternator, power steering pump, water pump. . . Pretty much ready to run.  I am looking to get $975 or best offer.  I can include the harness and brain for extra cost.  I also have a transmission I am looking to sell. 41000 miles on it.

I'd be interested in pics, too.  I've been looking for a decent TGP for a while.  I happen to have a few trannys laying around my garage.

I'm sure you can get them almost anywhere.  There are lots of T25's on ebay brand new for less than or around $200

I have everything but the crossover pipe and turbo.  I am sure you can get those fairly easily.  I have a complete motor and wiring harness along with computer.
