just some pictures I took from the start of the rebuild, and for those who have the eye for it , yes the reverse gear was damaged.

Got any new pictures of the rebuild? How is the rebuild moving along?

jimmy

I've  have the shifter, pedal, master slave, already installed. We're still waiting on the correct shim, so that everything fits tight. In the process where we found the reverse gear broke, Mechanic noticed a hair line crack on the outside cover near the bolt that holds the reverse gear. He took it to work this week and had his aluminum welder fix it. we'll take pictures this weekend of everything we did so far. any specific pictures that you need, let me know.

from the looks of some of the pictures (bright colored bead of sealer) you got it all back together. The going back together pictures you can see how much cleaner it looked. The taking it apart ones it looked like it was kind of nasty in there.  :icon_eek:
Now get out there tomorow and put it in   :icon_mrgreen:
On a scale of 1 to 10 How would you rate the rebuild of the trans 1 being easy and 10 being next time I'll send it out.

If it wasn't so dawm hard to get the parts and tools together, I would have rate it a 1, but since it was a PIMA :cussing: I still give it a 4  :new_all_coholic:

Its been a month since you started this thread. Have you got that 5sp in yet?

jimmy

After pulling the engine were finding  in & odd items to replace and per-fect. Exhaust manifolds for instance, I've always wanted to wrap them. Motor mount need to be changed a year ago, and what is up with these freakin mechanics today they all of a sudden forgot how to tighten bolts. My mechanic must have found 10 bolts & nuts loose on the engine  :icon_rolleyes:     anyways ,yes moving right along, we have the auto piece of crap out of the car. which was fairly easy. awaiting some gaskets and seals, already have the new craddle bolts, flywheel, flywheel bolts, clutch plates and pads and master slave & cylinder.     Another reason why were taking our time is I'm having a dodge guy working on it, and since dodge's always have transmission problems, I figure they would be the best on the job  :bonk:
