i was wondering how much $ will it take to make a stock TGP run low 13s to high 12s?

ps: i am new to this forum and i am used to working on the SC Regal  :lol:

Howdy fellow Txn.  Since no one else has responded yet, and since I hope you will buy my extra TXN TGP,  I'll just say 13's aren't really that hard if you spend a couple 1.5-2.5 Thou$. above a good condition stocker.  And Maybe 4-5k$. for solid 12's.  It's a little difficult to get these babies much faster than that due to their weight,(3500lbs loaded).  without a sunroof, they are a little lighter.  This engine is durable but must work hard.  A five speed conversion, would help.  Anyway goto go, but send me a Priv. msg if you want info one of my TGP's, (probably the non mint one if your wanting a racer).

Factory turbo cars in most cases are easy to make fast. here are the things i would say would get you on the way to 12-13 1/2's:
* New crossover (assuming yours will be stock)
* CHIP (Jeff M makes a Topgun 160 chip which is apperently the Bomb!)
* Intake/Cone Filter
* 2.5" Downpipe (i am making one)
* 2.5" or 3" catback (exhaust cutout would be a good idea for a Racecar)
* Turbo Upgrade (only so much you can do w/ a T25)

with the upped turbo you run into fuel shortages so i've heard, i'm not sure anybody can boast 12's here. Chip will get you 14's, 5-speed and ported heads and chip, downpipe, exhaust, turbo upgrade, should get you low 12's i'd think, but thats at least 2500. Bty, i thought tgps only weighed around 3200 lbs, loaded or not. They are all essentially loaded.

I plan on getting into at least the 12s w/o juice. Maybe lower...and who knows what'll happen when I add some juice.  :D But my projected cost is around 4k, so that's not exactly cheap.

Don't forget...once the turbo is changed the chip will need to be redone.

As for 12's and faster with the TGP engine, check out:

But his car is much lighter than our TGPs.

speaking of which, is Jeff M offering chips for turbo mods/upgrades now too, or are some of you modifying your own chips?
