Bringing this back up..

For the first time today, my ABS light started blinking right after I started the car.
Before that, the behavior of the light was the same everytime. Start the car, light was off, start driving, light would come on within a few seconds of the car in motion. That lead me to believe it was a bad sensor (still need to check those). But this morning the light started flashing right after I started the car, and then once I backed out of the drive, and started down the street, it went to a steady on. Hasn't flashed anymore since this morning.
Is there any way to get the codes from the ABS computer yourself, or is that something we can't do?

Mine was doing that. Does your brake light come on when you hit the brakes? My brake light comes on when I hit the brakes and then the ABS light comes on and starts flashing. I think that you are getting air in the system, reason why I'm saying that is when mine light was staying on I had it checked out by my uncle  and he put new brakes pads all around and then bleed the entire system. That stopped the light from staying on to just flashing. I wish to god that I never got mine it's been a headace. As a matter of fact I've got mine up for sale. Hope that you get it straightened out.

Naw, the brake light never comes on.
I still think the steady light is a wheel sensor, and if I recall right, they aren't too terribly hard to change. I'm not too worried about it flashing though, the car is gonna sit in the garage most of the winter anyway. I've gotta figure out how to wire up the security lighting feature in a car that doesn't have it! lol

You're selling your car because of brake problems?

Today I took the STE for a ride for the first time in a few months.  Before I took it off the road, I replaced the accumuator and the abs light was still blinking.  Today I noticed the fluid level was low so I topped it off.  Every time I hit the pedal the brake light would come on and the brakes are still squishy.  The abs light did not come on at all on my 20 minute ride until I parked the car with it running, and 10 mins later it started flashing.  Shut it off, waited a little while and pulled it in the garage and the abs light was off.  Could air in the system cause this?  Or, any other ideas?

BTW I also want to thank TGPRobNY for the fast shipping and good packaging on the accumulator he just sold me.  :)
