Where exactly is the orifice tube?

The A/C shop told me it was under the PMlll!    :cry: That seems like an odd place. My compressor is knocking so I have to put another one on plus the accumulator. Everything but the orifice tube was replaced less than a year ago. Didn't replace it because they wanted over $200.00. Any help would be appreciated.

I am pretty sure it is in the high preasure line almost directly under turbo, as i recall there is a line fitting there, and orifice is on one side or
other of it. tight spot

:lol:  :lol: Thanks a bunch florida_gtp the new orifice tube is in.  Now I just have the compressor and accumulator to go. It's easy to spot the line after you get all the wires out of the way. The tube is swedged about three
inches back from the fitting. At a minimum you have to take the wiper bottle, fuel selonid, cruise control turbo blanket and possibly the turbo. my turbo was already off, time to rebuild it with 196k on the clock. thanks again. I was surprised that more people didn't know about this tube.
