spooling sound=oil return line

I was used to the way my turbo sounded when spooled up. I replaced my oil return line the other day and now it sounds different. I didn't touch anything else. Would the oil line backing oil up slow the spooling of the turbo and make it sound different?

Thanks for all the replies.  :bag:  I figured out the problem. I found the hose clamp on the lower intercooler pipe was broke. (where the pipe connects to the rubber piece going into the i/c)It was stripped and wouldn't stay tight. Put a new one on an it's all better.
