Why go with NGK wires and plugs?  :? Why not go with Delco rapid fire plugs ;) And some magnecor wires :D

no idea, the only posts i found under search were those with NGKs... I would greatly appreciate part #'s for those items and the magnacores.  I bought ACCELs for my 89 once and they were too short, i don't want that to happen again.

I previously ran NGK's in my TGP. It ran pretty good with those. NGK's and AC Delco's are the only plugs I would get for a TGP. Platinums are junk, period.

The part number for the Delcos is on this forum somewhere. And I'm not sure the magnecores have a part#. You'd have to go to their site and download the catalog and look through it.

I just picked up some AC delco rapid fire #8 for my STE.  Pre gapped at .035

Hey1bum

that was my next question, what is the gap on TGP's?

AC Delco: #R24LTS [I think]. The gap is at .040

gm part number for plugs is 5613717

When all else fails, punch it.

I just put some Bosch Supers in mine Friday. 0.99 a piece and they work pretty good.

I did have Accels in it. They've been in for almost 10,000 miles. They were all the right color and the gap was still where I put it. I'm going to clean them up a little and keep them as a spare set.

Hey1bum

i thought platnum plugs suck in TGP's.. the rapid fires are platnum plugs???

I went to the NGK web site and nothing cross references to their plugs... and they don't have an email address... kinda crappy.  If anyone remembers what plugs they bought, I'd appreciate it.

Correct part number: AC-Delco R42LTS.  But the gap is preset for 0.45"

Whatever you do, DO NOT get RAPIDFIRES (or anything with a platinum tip!)
The TGP can blow the tip off of the platinum plugs.

(The AC-Delco Rapidfires were redesigned two years ago and now they suck for turbo applications.)
