I had the Jeff M crossover installed last week.  When the guy started my car back up, black smoke came pouring out of the tail pipes.  He though it was normal because the original crossover was in bad shape so there was a lot of carbon build up and such coming out.  Well, along with all the black smoke oil came shooting out also.  I was told that the turbo was bad. There was oil all inside the turbo...which is bad.  Where can I find a good rebuilt turbo?  I kinda need one ASAP.  Thanx!!

Do a quick search, but you may also have drain tube problems.

If it didn't smoke before the new x-over--even under the hood-- its prob the return line getting pinched or something. Mine however needs a turbine wheel seal(aka ring).

Well, I had the drain tube replaced with the one Jeff M. supplies with his new crossover pipe.  I do need a turbo.  It kinda cracks me up though, that turbo was rebuilt in 1999.  The turbine is basically bouncing all around in there right now.  With a new, well, rebuilt turbo do you get new rings and everything?  I'll probably go with Turbocity.com.

A new or remaned turbo comes all assembled, balanced and ready to install... a center section needs to be installed into the houing but it is also assembled and ready to install into the housings. :fadein:  :drinking:
