Getting ready to install the new trans(yes another one.. but we tried some new tricks), and here are some q's

I have some ball joint issues and a loose rod in the steering rack. Are these the same as the GP SE's? The reason I ask is because the 89 we had we put in a fresh cradle with new ball joints, steering rack, and struts. 6 days later, the motor blew, and it became a parts car. If I pull the stuff off the TGP cradle(which should probably be replaced anyhow), will it work? I would be putting the TGP struts, spindles, brakes on the other credlae and dropping the motor and trans on it. Also, it would be using the steering rack off the 89. Thanks for any info guys.

The rack is different

The ball joints are in the struts so you'd have to change them out anyway

The rest of the cradle is the same.

Has anyone ever compared the dimensions of the TGP engine cradle to the GENII W-body cradle? I was just wondering if anyone had already done this or not.  :D
