check for vaccum leaks

just wondering how i would check for vaccum leaks...also i have an oil line that comes of the turbo and goes into a like sender unit thing...im not for sure but it has a t coming of it with a hose that has a screw plugging it....someone had plugged it up for some reason just wondering what this could possibly do
16 and turbo'd......make own conclusion.
