is the wastegate selonoid on top of the turbo? Whats the difference between wastegate selonoid and the wastegate actuator or whatever....what controlls the boost becuase I dont think mine is working because for one my guage dosent even move and for two my turbo spool but when you floor it it lags real bad but never comes out of it....how would you know if it was stuck?  Any help would be appreciated...I know some of you have to be getting agitated by these newbie questions but hang with me I learn quick and the faster I learn the sooner I can build the FASTEST TGP EVER!!!!!!

well I found out why my car isnt building boost.....i think.  What does the rod from the little round thing on top of the turbo do? becuase mine was just flopping around and i think that it was suppose to be connected to the little hinge on the turbo itself...Im probably not right but isnt that the wastegate selonoid.....and also i have a red wire coming out of the fuel pump relay that has a grey connecter on the end of it but its not connected to anything and i cant find anywires around that it would connect to

That is your wastegate actuator, and yes it need to be connected to the little hinge on the turbo itself.

Leave that alone, it is for TESTING the fuel pump.

Jim/kadoi,
Take a look at this topic that I posted a while back and see if this is the connector you're talking about.  I had the same question about it.  Where were you at that time Jim?!?!  J/K!

Won't be making it for a very long time.  I'm down in San Diego now and won't be back up to the "Great NW" until late next year.  I'll make it by your place one day!
