ok i have a few small item i hoped to address now that i have time i just have a problem with things not working so
1. the stock boost guage does not read at all
2. the check guages flickers i know this was covered on the old board but i never printed it so a pic of the bad wire would be nice  
3. i can never get the compass to set right
4. and the change oil or rotate tires always shows up and is just flat out annoying :evil:

Alright, I'm still pretty new to the TGPs, but I'm pretty sure I know about everything you asked about:

1.  I think everyone has officially given up on the factory boost gauge.  Your best bet is to get an after market gauge.

2.  Here is a link that should cover repairing the check gauges/low fuel dilemma - http://www.w-body.com/service/checkgauges.html

3.  I see in your signature that you have an '89 which means you have the older style DIC, notorious for what you just described.  You'll probably want to swap it out for the '90 on up design with the vacuum fluorescent display instead of your LCD style.

4.  This may sound like a stupid question, but have you reset the reminder intervals?  If so, this may be another flaw with the '89 DIC units, though I've personally never heard of that being one of the flaws.

i have a aftermarket guage in the car i just cant stand it when some thing doesnt work or doesnt work right thanks for the info
