How many 90 2 - Door TGP's were made?

I have heard that there were only 500 2- doors and 500 4- doors made with the 3.1 turbo intercooler motor in them.  But then today I heard that there was 3750 2- doors made.  Which is right?

3,750 sounds more accurate.  There are way WAY too many popping up on eBay to have had only 500-1,000 built.  Look at the 4-door turbo STEs.  How many times do you see one of them on eBay compared to the 2-doors?  The conscensus on the 4-doors is 1,000.

i have a 90 2 dr    serial number 3035.........that means at least that many.......figures say 3750 for 90 3500 for 89 and 1000 90 4dr's........i think it would be cool if everyone listed their serial number on here..............  that way we can tell if anybody has consecutive cars...........BTW my car rolled off the line in canada on june 11 1990.......my bday is june 12 1984....damn......one day.....but my g/f bday is june 11..............................cool huh? :lol:

well........................i guess i waas talkin out my butt with that coment i was browsin another topic and found a post about VIN's and car numbers and it seems i was wrong with my assumption as to which number my car was   and since it is in the shop right now i have to wait till i get it back to see the number for it :cry:   I WANT IT BACK!!!!!!! :cry:

"rolled off the line in canada"..what? I thought they were all built in Fairfax, Kansas...his 90TGP was made in August/1989 according to the door sticker.
