I had a friend pick up some Delco R42LTS plugs for me and on the on the box and on the plug it says R42LTS6. I believe this means they are gapped at .060 out of the box. Holding them next to one of the original R42LTS plugs that came out of the car when I got it, they look slightly longer. Is this the right plug or is there another R42LTS plug that I need to get?

Napa should have two types of plugs listed for our cars (vin V). The factory .045, and ac delco rapid fires at 0.035 for around $4.20. I went with the later.

Thanks for the info. I called the GM dealer. They said there is only one R42LTS plug and that is how they come from the factory. (with the 6 on the end, meaning they are pregapped at .060)

Yeah those are the factory ones, but the plugs you had in your car should have been gapped to at least .045, but i think everyone here says to gap them at 0.035 to help control under boost? I don't know how much difference in performace rapid fires are vs factory but the people here should know, actually bosch coppers are cheaper than both pricewise.

Actually the plugs I took out were gapped to .035 cause I changed them a while back. They are accels. I wanted to put something else in so I could take them to work and clean them with the glassbeader. They were fouled from running TEC through it. I'll be putting the accels back in today and put the delcos up just in case.
