Since my car is doing the engine cut out thing as well and I'm 95% sure it's the injectors, my question is this.  Do the Accel injectors fit just as a GM injector would?  Meaning are any modifications necessary to use them?  I've done a search but can't come up with a definite answer.  I read a few posts that said they were too short but others that said they just appeared too short but do fit properly.  What is it?

I have the accell 22lbs in my STE and am putting the Accell 24lbs in my TGP.  They are not as long as the factory ones BUT WORK JUST FINE.

a possible alternative could be 22.5lbs that come in the 99+ 3.4 V6's

I'm needing to replace all 6 of my injectors too.. need to price up those 22lb Accells and see how much damage it'll do on the ol' pocket book, lol.

I saw in another post that JCWhitney is selling the 21 or 22 pounders for $40 a pop.  I also looked at Summit Racing and they sell the 24 pounders for $35 a pop or you can buy a kit that has 8 of the 24 pounders for $240 and have two spares!  Anyone know of other places that sells them cheaper?  Would it be OK to put the 24 pound injectors in a pretty much stock engine?

The injectors will fit if you don't want them to go all the way down.  I was not comfortable w/ how high up they sit.  (Just my opinion, might not be anything wrong w/ it, but I'm not taking a chance.)  I am making some aluminum rail mounts that I will have for sale super cheap once I get them done.  I have 3800S2 injectors in the TGP right now (same as the accel's (size wise)) I am going to be making the first set of rail mounts this week, and when they are done I will be able to copy them.  The mounts allow the rail to sit lower to accomodate the smaller injector.  I have a set of 24# Accel's from JCW.  I bought them accidentally, if anyone is interested PM me.  I will sell them for the original price and throw in the rail mounts for free.
