I know that the turbo outlet is 2". Now, my frount mount intercooler has an inlet and outlet of 2.5".

Would it be better to run a 2" pipe from the turbo outlet into a 2-2.5" reducer on the inlet side of the intercooler, or would it be better to run a 2-2.5" reducer off of the turbo outlet and run a 2.5" pipe from that to the intercooler inlet?

Now, the stock upper intake pipe has an inlet of 2.25". Should I run a 2.5-2.25 reducer off of the intercooler and run a 2.25 pipe to the upper intake, or run a 2.5" pipe from the intercooler into a 2.5-2.25" reducer off of the upper intake?

My take on this is to run the big pipe for as long as you can, then go to the reducer.  I know the theory is that a system is only as good as it's smallest portion but I like to think that every little bit helps.

Regardless it would be greatly and highly appreciated if you posted your performance results once you are finished; I know I will be eager to hear!!   :D

I'll be taking my car to the track to get a baseline. Last year my best was 15.09@89.64 with TopGun 180 chip, 2.5" high flow cat, 2.5" exhaust, 2.5" straight through mufflers, FFP underdrive pully, FFP 3.1 motor mounts, K&N filter, crappy PepBoys R-Rated all weather tires. I mostly spun all through part of the 60ft (2.2x and 2.3x).

For this year, I'm planning on installing my FMI, getting lighter wheels with z-rated tires, and getting lighter racing seats to replace these 60lb anchors.
