Powerstop makes a cross-drilled rotor for $115 a piece. I have had mine a few years now and my Bendix brake pads are still in great shape. They dont ever heat up either. They also look tight behind my freshly painted black wheels. I think they are made of chromoly or some high-grade steel, because they are a shiny gold color out of the box.

I've heard that crossdrilled rotors don't do anything and that the slots are what really makes the difference.  I've also read that the crossdrilled holes are for disipating heat and that crossdrilled rotors tend to crack.  Slotted rotors are used for excavating brake dust and the brake pad gas that you always hear about, and it's generally understood that they last a lot longer than crossdrilled rotors

I actually think the gold color is a coating they use so that they don't rust where the pad isn't touching. It might be cadnium but I'm not sure.

that gold color most of the time is cadnium. It is coated to prevent rust..
From my understanding crossdrilled keep cooler.. the power slot give you a clean pad every stop.. plus it pulls brake dust away as do the crossdrilled..  KCP

Powerstop was before Powerslot I believe. I never heard of Powerslot when I first bought my Powerstops in Fall 2000. Or I would have got them instead. That makes me mad
