Hey, when I had my car fixed after my accident, I had the garage replace the subframe with one I got from a 90 N/A GP at a yard.  They also replaced the pass. side strut assembly.  I've noticed now however that when they put it all back together the wheels aren't centered in the wheel well.  They are about 1" ~1.5" to far toward the front.  WHen I turn the wheel hard, like to pull out of a parking spot or something they wheel rubs on the fender (not the inside part but the part of the bumper that curves around into the wheelwell).  Is there something they could have done wrong in installing it to be off that far? I'm pretty dissapointed in them for letting it go like that.  Is there a way to fix it?

Check the alingment of your sub frame. Fixing that after a trans rebuild stoped my rubing.

it rubs on both sides in the front, like the whole frame is too close to the front bumper some how.... how would one go about checking alignment of a subframe?

Get a couple of 3/4 dia dowels, either steel tubing (best) or wood will work.

Near the sub frame bolts on the pass side there are 2 holes in the sub frame that are suposed to line up withe 2 holes in the main frame. You will be able to see if there not lined up. If there not loosen all 4 sub frame bolts and push pull the frame until they do line up. when you get it close put the dowels in to finish the alignment. Leave the dowels in while you tighten the sub frame bolts. They should hang straight down from the frame. You can use a square to be certain.

It doesn't take much to make the wheels rub.

Depending on how much damage was done in your accident you may not  be able to align it correctly. If this doesent work I would take it back to whoever fixed it and tell them to make it right.

Good luck.  Let us know what you find.
