Exhaust Gas Temp Gauge

anyone here ever look into one for there TGP???

and what do you think the best location is for the sensor???

Crossover before the turbo or Downpipe where it mates with the Turbo???

I see all the guys with Modified Diesels putting these gauges in i was just wondering if it was a good idea for TGP owners whom have done some Mods....

Well, you can tune a diesel w/ an EGT gauge, but you can't tune a gasoline engine w/ one.  You'd be better off spending your time/money on a WB02.  It's about as useful as an EGT is on a diesel.

!!!!!!WHAT!!!!!! Who told you THAT!!!!!! An EGT is a VERY effective tuning tool on a turbocharged car, and is VERY usefull in preventing you from blowing your engine sky high! Combine that, a good WBo2, and possibly an a/f guage, and you have EXCELLENT tuning tools!

You can tune a diesel w/ a GOOD EGT meter.  If you come near my car w/ ONLY an EGT setup I will kick your ass.

The dsm guys run EGT's a lot, should ask there for location placement.

About 3-6" down the DP, after the turbo(I'm a DSM guy too). Oh and if you want REAL DSM tuning advice, go to www.dsmtuners.com or www.teamnabr.com
