MATT YOU CAN KICK LUKE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PILE AGAIN.  

I took it back out, and kinda cheated, but hey, winnin's winnin' right? I wasn't in a hurry to get a pic of the 15.7 run but tonight I turned a 15.21 @ 89.95 I made 2 passes and was in the 16's. Not only was my fan hot wired. (STUPID CAR) I was only getting 4#'s boost.(Whole nuther sit. sol. act. acting up.) So my third run I said, "Bump dat skinny!!" I wants forteenz. So, I pulled the wastegate sol. line off.  I planned on pedaling it to keep off the boost cut. I had to decide which was better no boost, WOT, or part throttle, tons of boost. So, my first run I let off 3 different times and it ran a 15.229 spinning through 1st. 2.232 60'. I ran outta gear and hit the rev. limiter in 3rd.

Second run, I thought to hell w/ it, I'll let the boost cut do it's job, and low and behold, it didn't  ??? I had the boost needle pegged (I'm surprised it's not bent.  ) I obviously didn't have enough fuel for the run, but still netted my 15.21 spinning tires through 1st and 2nd (2.29 60') Last run was full throttle, 2.1 60' 15.227 @ 89.33

DON'T PULL THAT LINE OFF IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO DEAL W/ THE CONSEQUENCES!!!!! I may have damaged my tranny, but I don't give a shit. I gained a custom slight studder in my 2-3 upshift. Again, I don gibba shit. It was worth it. Fun times. Once, a buddy of mine was asked, "Why does he drive it like that?" He replied, "Because he can fix it."  Seriously, be careful. If the sol. had been working right I wouldn't have done it. (END DISCLAIMER)

If you hit the rev limiter in 3rd, either your tranny is REALLY messed up, or that car is REALLY fast.  Rev limiter in 3rd is supposedly 128...  Maybe you mean 2nd???  

Anyways, looking at that 60' the car is OBVIOUSLY capable of high 14's.  Learn to launch it and it should run very high 14's.  Fix the boost problem and that should seriously help you reach your goal.  Or, if all else fails, TopGun 160!

Well, I SUPPOSEDLY have a TG160!!  I'm gonna have to yank the chip and find out.  I'm gonna try to replace the ECM tomorrow if I have time.  I'll check out the chip then.  That's why I'm so damn pissed that I am turning the times that I am.  And oh no, I hit the limiter in 3rd TWICE.  I was like WTF as well.  So, I need to see what's going on.  It happens about 100ft. before the 1/4 finish.  Unless it's not shifting into 3rd???  I leave it in D (well, I did until I hit the rev. limiter) then I switched into OD for the next run and at the end of the track it SHIFTED!!  So, unless 2 is good to 80, I was in 3rd bouncing.  I want to be able to leave everything hooked up the way it is and run a 14.999.  At that point this thing will get put away.  Then Black Sunshine will come out to play.   :twisted:

Yeah, thats 2nd gear.  It will hit the limiter at right around 80mph in 2nd...like 82 or something.  When we took the TGP coupe to the track, about 15 hours or so after the TopGun 160 was installed, the car was hitting the 1st and 2nd gear limiters for about the 1st 8 runs or so.  Then I tried letting off for a run or two, then it started shifting normal...odd.  And I was leaving that car in OD.  Maybe there is a vacuum line off the tranny somewhere, or maybe it isn't used to the boost like that or something.  When you change things like boost for some reason the tranny gets confused...I don't know why, doesn't make much sense to me, but I have definately noticed it.

You've never had that problem on the street before?

Luke you should easily be in low 14's with that car. I was consistant low 15's at high altitude. Bring 3 or 4 bags of ice to set on the intake while you are waiting to run your best run of the night...MAKE ME PROUD BOY!!!!  :wink: :lol:  8)
