How difficult is it to adapt this turbo to a TGP? Worth it??

I was looking at this turbo, and it seems to be a good turbo assuming it will still spool fairly quick.  The problem is I am pretty sure the downpipe bolts aren't going to line up.  Is putting a different flange on the downpipe all it would take, or would there be more to it?  Also, would the gains be worth the trouble and $$$?

Thanks,

Shawn

intake, turbo outlet portion of the downpipe (Possibly) and charge pipes at minimum. if you have a local performance shop that knows what they are doing it should be fairly easy.

The turbo outlet would probably just eliminate the extra little pipe we have now and may be easier to deal with?? Dunno, but not sure how worth it would be to adapt.

You could probably make the install work...but I would suggest you call that place and ask them what flow characteristics it has. By the sounds of their write-up it is made for the 4 cylinder DSM guys... 8)

That turbo wont flow enough for the TGP. You'd be worse off than stock.

Just for comparison sake, I can show you why flow matters. Take a Mitsu 2.0. Divide 2.0/4= .5 liters per cylinder(volume per cyl). Now, use the same formula on the TGP, and you come up with .516 per cyl. Then you have to consider there are 2 more cylinders to feed. Look for a spool the fits  the 87-92 Supra Turbo(upgraded spools or stock, they have one of the largest and fastest spooling stock turbos placed on production cars under $100k).

Thats why I was asking.  It says it flows enough for like 600hp or something IIRC (i'm not looking at that page right now) so I would think no matter what engine you put it on it could move enough air for 600hp.

I'm not looking at buying the turbo, I was just looking at it to see if it was an upgrade option for others in the future...but from the sounds of it, probably not.
