there should not be a gasket there.

Correct, no gasket there stock, none every used stock.  NOT that it's a bad idea, just not one that has been needed, but some turbo shops offer this to sell or include with rebuilds.  The crossover pipe turbo flange gets checked for flatness, and milled or replaced if necessary, but the metal will give enough for small variations in the turbo flange itself not being flat, same goes for the downpipe to turbo, some give can occur and help to seal those flat surfaces.  I would start the engine cold and look for white smoke/condensation to confirm a leak, tighten bolts in that area, and if you followed the directions, the anti-seize will help allow tightening of the bolts without undo stress and chances of breakage while achieving a tight enough clamp.

While at the dealer, tell them what myself and others told you to check, REALLY good idea to show them you are not a stranger to the workings of your ca, they will be more forthcoming with the info they find and in the honesty and determination of their resolve with your problems.  The will check for any old or existing Service Engine Soon Codes, check the readings of the MAP and the fuel trim (those being called BLM/Block Learn Multiplier i.e. long term (memorized) fuel trim and INT/Integrator or short term fuel trim (constantly changing when o2 is warmed up and ECM is in what is called Closed Loop then)).  They should (I always do) check all the values, looking for anything out of range or odd looking (signal changing too much or when it should not change).  I had one odd problem with a TGP here, ran good then ran like shit, idle, cruise, power, all bad so checked the above and looked fair, but there was a constant 7 degrees of knock retard (no SES Code), and this at idle, cruise and under power (not much power with 7 less degrees), replaced knock sensor, nope, swapped ECM, nope, checked knock wire, all good??nothing left (no plug wires in the area or unhappy) so ran a new wire, nope, so ran a shielded wire grounding one end at the ECM (not both ends or risk making a ground loop), fixed?.weird but took care of this fussy female.  Anyways, have them run their CAMS tool or whatever their favor and read the readings, should get them to nail things down for you pronto, but good to let us know what they find so we can help you confirm (I mean dealers often say ?a Turbo Grand Prix??, I knew they made a Turbo Grand AM?)?.well we are the most knowledgeable TGP mechanics out there, if we could just get our scan tools hooked to your car we would of had you fixed long time ago :)  though its nice to get our eyes and hands on an engine we are fixing.

Good luck!!!
