My front seats in the TGP are ripped in a couple of spots.  Would it be better for me to go ahead and have them re-done or should I go ahead and put some racing buckets in like I've been wanting to.  I don't plan on getting rid of this car ever so what would be in my best interest to do for the long run?

Well, for a collector's sake, you would want to keep the originals.  BUT....there's no reason why you can't get the racing seats since you want them, and get the original redone at a later time.  I always keep the original bolt on stuff when I replace them on my cars, juuuuuuuuuuust in case they become collectibles.
