Hey folks - Ive been reading these boards for a while now and finally got my act together and got myself a 1990 TGP a couple of weeks ago. Bought it off ebay in Virginia but I just recently moved out here to Texas to start my new job. The car is pretty nice - black,leather,906XX miles. It drives well but has some of the usual problems - gauges somewhat haywire, transmission shifts a little sloppy (checked connections at vacuum modulator and they appear correct but who knows), brakes are a little weak (the PMIII was rebuilt by that Texas company but it looks like rear proportioning valve is leaking and acculumator might be going since it has to "recharge" about every 3 times you push the pedal). The wierdest thing is that it never seems to develop any real boost. From what Ive read I get the impression that the stock boost guage is pretty inaccurate but mine never goes above the first mark over zero.

I'm looking forward to working on this car but its definitely a bit of a change from my old 85 trans am - Ill have to order that Helm manual soon - I dont know, is it worth the $98!?!. Anyway this is really a great resource and in reading over all the posts on here its obviously you guys know your cars! If there are any other Texas TGP owners out there Id like to hear from ya and possibly meet up one of these weekends.

Mike J.

Hi sciszek,  This is Mike J. of the Dallas area (actually Cedar Hill).  I have two black TGP's, one is a mint 46k miler and the other is its twin brother which has not lived such a charmed life but is a lot of fun to drive even though it basicly just sits in my garage for most of the past year.  There are TGP's in the DFW metro but its v- rare to see any posts on these forums.  Welcome and send me a private message and we'll communicate and I can share my vast  knowledge.
