I was on www.tirerack.com and ran across some slotted rotors for our GP's.  They run at $150 a pair.  Do you think thats worth it?  I would put up a link but I don't think it will work.  They are cross drilled and slotted, I've never used "performance" brakes, but the rotors are black, which I think would look cool behind our wheels.  Anyone have any input?

Here. I'll add the link anyways, let me know if it doesn't work.

Thanks.  I know my TGP will need brakes in the spring, I'm just shopping around right now.  What kind of pads are you using?  I would like to get something low dust, ever use EBC?

I use Bendex Titanu-metalic pads and nothng else.....

get them at Advance Auto......

you get bit of dust the first 100 kms and then after you clean the rims there is no more dust.......

just during the breakin period for the rotors and pads......

what is the proper way to break in brakes?  is that why I get so much dust on my wheels?

not really a break in i guess.......

when i have new pads and rotors i simply go easy on them for a while and lots of peddle pumping.....

like i said i get some dust when everything is new and after a while it goes away.......

if im driving like a mad man and being really demanding on the brakes some dust appears again....

I go through brake pads like mad, I was replacing them every 3 weeks for a while there, then I got sick of that and replaced both the calipers, one of the rotors (the other one wasn't grooved, and even with an impact wrench on it after heating it up with a torch the caliper bracket wouldn't come off so I gave up), and bought the "expensive" pads (as expensive as they get at autozone) and I've gone 3 months now (although for 3 weeks of that it was parked for the engine work), but I'm starting to hear the wear indicator on one side now.  And if I get on the brakes hard (not even really hard, just a little harder than you would in a normal stop) they start smelling horrible.  Not only that, but if I slow down from ~60 to 0 more than once within like 1 minute they also smell horrible and barely work (lots of fade).  And due to the route that I take every day, there is one particular spot where the road jogs so I have to stop from 60, then accelerate back up to 60, then turn back on the road, then get back up to 60, then stop at a stop sign after a little less than a mile, then I get up to 60 once more and have to stop yet again at a stop sign in about a half mile.  By the time I get through with all of this, the car doesn't even hardly stop anymore.  But I can drive the TGP coupe, in which has the same pads, one new rotor in the same spot as my rotor and it stops fine...its really weird.

Do you think going to these other pads you are talking about, and getting these rotors will help my brakes last any longer?  I think the main problem might be my accumulator...I know its bad as it cycles every 3 seconds or so at stoplights, but would it cause a problem like this?
