Body Moldings (Kinda quick fix)

:lol:  I imagine a few of you know about this already, but it has not been archived on here yet so I figure I might as well do it since I am in the process of doing it myself.  As many of you know, or soon come to find out, the moldings on our doors have a habit of pulling away from the door.  If you don't know, this is caused by the water penetrating the gap between the door and the molding, and since the clips that hold the moldings on are one piece straight across, it causes the clips to rust and fall off.  The guy who is doing all the body work on my car (I am not a body man) figured out a way to secure the moldings better, and let water get through.  Simply make your own clips.  Make them about and inch to and inch and a half long, and rivet them right to the door.  We used 1/16 thick sheet metal and bent it into a sort of    | shape (sorry bout the

drawing, but you get the idea)!  Either way, it holds the molding closer to the door, and lets water through...hope this helps someone!
