Does anyone know where I can get some slightly larger fuel injectors that will work without having to do any chip work?  I got some 24lb injectors and put them in, but the car was running so horribly rich that I think maybe they weren't the right kind or something.  Anyways, doesn't anyone know of any specific injectors that I should be able to put in that are small enough that the computer can still control them well?  (I'm just looking for like 24-25lb injectors)

If not, where can I get some 29lb. injectors that will work right after I get some chip work done?

Thanks,

Shawn

Accel replacements for 24lbs LT1s. Or search for 350 TPI. They seem to have the same flow and independance as stock TGP units. Ask for specific info when ordering or checking the catalog.

Heres some info I have..not accurate

would it be possible to run larger injectors on the stock chip, then get an AFPR and turn fuel pressure down?

I am running accell 24's in my TGP - runs rich, but I can deal with that.

Am planning on going to 28 Lbs injectors with the bigger turbo, and running an rrfpr.

Man I don't know why lots of you guys have trouble running larger injectors. Doesn't make sense. I ran 26# for over a year with three different cams. The only one that I had any richness issues or idle issues was .480 lift/284 duration. It idled fine after it warmed up with a definite exhaust cackle and slight lope. I ended up putting a heated 02 on it to get rid of the fumes and the clean idle would come in  about 30 sec to 1 min.

I am now running ford racing 30# pintle with a stock 3400 roller cam and I have absolute no richness issues.

I don't get it.

I am looking for larger injectors.

Do you by any chance still have those 26lb. injectors?  I would be willing to buy them from you if you do...

I put LT1 injectors in it when I did my topend swap and the car ran VERY rich.  There was black streaks on my driveway from the exhaust when it was idling.  I pulled out into traffic and went WOT and the car almost stalled it was running so rich, then when it did take off I looked in my mirror and all there was was a cloud of black smoke.  Just sitting and idling, it would hesitate for a second when the gas was pressed before revving.  I put the stock 22lb back in and it runs great, besides not getting enough fuel on the topend.

JUD,

How did you hook up the heated O2, any "special" instructions.

Shawn, you have an email re injectors.

Thomas,
Here?s what you asked for.

It?s a Bosch 13275, 42.99 at O?reilly.

Wiring as I did.

Gray-02 signal ground. Ground by IC outlet on body.
Black-02 sensor signal. Your old 02 wire.
White-12 volt with 3 amp fuse to fuel pump relay hot in run. It?s right there.
White-Heater ground. Same as gray.

Here is an article from another page (for Turbo Dodges but the same principle) about RRFPR (Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulators)... http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_big_injectors.html Scroll down to Rising Rate Regulator... 8)

Jud, you have an email.

I think I might invest in one of those heated 02 sensors as well...

Thats what I did,  RRFPR. When I boost  to stage 2 it feels like another motor is engaged.
It's friggggggin awesome. There isn't jack shit that can stay with me from a punch at 15 or 20. From a dead stop I spin too much, even with only 5#. Working on that. The Nittos didn't seem to make much difference but I havent been to the track in a long time. Hope to go next week, It's supposed to be cooler like 84*.

you have 2 stage boost control?  also, are you using an AFPR (to set/lower base pressure) along with an RRR?

Yes on the 2 stage. The stock fuel regulator prevails. The RRFPR stops the return flow to the tank therefor increasing the pressure to the injectors which makes them act bigger as bootst goes up.

Here's what it is.
