Quote from: RareGMFanSpeaking of the website.....not to nit pick, but I was looking through your TSTE section, and I noticed it said it has a 10-speaker system.  The dash on the STEs unfortunately do not have any speakers, so it is actually an 8-speaker system.  Just thought I'd pass the info on.  We now return you to your regularly scheduled plenum praising.   :D

Don't change the channel yet     If you get anal and count the tweeters separate from the mids/woofs we got 2 in each front doors (4) plus those tweeters in the rear doors (2) then 2 each in the rear deck (4), that makes 10 :P   If we don't separate the coaxes and leave it at just the "speaker" location then we got a 6 speaker system in the TSTE, though I plan to fill the empty holes in the dash as this layout bounces off the windshield so perfect there just has to be speakers there!!!

Ok, back to the Plenum Channel  .

That's me! Mr. Anal :?  wait did that sound wrong?

Jeff, I'll PM you about some of that computer stuff when I get some time, but on the way to work now, and have to put the door panel back on the STE after work. (bent door handle rod caused the door to not open from the outside handle.)

No I know what you meant sweet-cheeks  No hurry on the PC, was playing around last night looking at some dual processors MB to go with all the spare parts and silver/blue Enermax Case that was ordered last night too 8) , that is the only part left to build up another PC, and an older style ASUS MB is fine with me, no need for bragging rights of some 64 bit processor and some blazing ass speed MB  .  Careful the lense for the door light as its pretty brittle and no longer available from the dealer, and J/Y ones can often be cracked as well!  If your top escutcheon for the seat belt breaks let me know, did get spares of those.

I had no idea there were actually 4 in the rear deck...so it is 10.  I was a bit confused when I found no speakers in the dash too.

Yea "IF" you count the coax's tweets separate from the woofers     Anyways 8)  Yea looks odd to find no speakers in the front dash on the STEs, must be with the doors having a true component setup it was not thought necessary.  I do like the doors this way since you can pick from a nicer and wider selection of separates including a "better for mid-bass" 6.5" woofer than the 5 ?? though I got some 6.5? to fit into my TGP doors, no way there in the dash 8)   And of course some nice tweets without having to do custom work to the grills like on a 2-Door.  Now I need to so some work to figure out the tweets in the rear doors and where they are fed, going to swap out stock amp for aftermarket, kind of funky to have tweets in the rear doors but can always find some dome midrange about that size to give better ?sound? than tweeting at your ears, though dome mids can have an overbearing presence at times.

We got to move this to "Stereo" instead of messing up this Upper Intake Post, I am the more quilty one at this crime

too late :(  Actually both of my passenger side lenses are broken, and cracked when I bought the car. The drivers side lense was missing, but I bought one a few days ago from GM, probably the last NOS one left in the world. They told me they can still get the driver side, not the passenger side. Just have to keep an eye out. Took me 4 years to make the Beretta nice, I just need some time to work out those kinks in the TGP. Sure is a fun car though.

Bossman, was that 14.5@101 a gtech time?  I believe I asked you on the W-body forum right before it went down.

I don't remember you asking that, but yeah, it's a g-tech time. So it's not COMPLETELY legit, but it was enough to prove to my dad that my 4 door sedan was faster than his 95 mustang, and as fast as his 94 lincoln mark 8.
14.52 was my best out of 3 runs before I put the k&N on the turbo, since then it's been too crappy weather wise to go for another run.
My dad was gone for several hours in his lincoln trying to beat my time. He finally came back and said he ran a 14.51   I'm still perfecting my launch also, whenever the good weather hits I'll go to the track for a REAL timeslip, but til then, a g-tech time is good enough to brag on my dad about.

I figured it had to be G-tech because the MPH is WAY too high.  (which the older g-tech firmware did, MPH was usually ~6mph too fast)  Another problem with the G-techs is you have to make sure they are calibrated perfectly.  Anyways, what mods did you have to run that time, and what was your 60' for that run with the Gtech?  It looks like that time for the Beretta was also a Gtech time...but I could be wrong.

The STE has the usual stuff, TG160, and a K&N that I just put on  (love it already) I think that is it. I've done several other things in the name of maintenance, but theres not a whole lot more I can do performance wise, besides exhaust and an upper intake swap. I've only had the car since Thanksgiving, so, in due time.....
The Beretta's time is also a G-tech. I was looking for some ballpark figures until I can get to a track this summer.
I did my Geo Metro too, 19.1 @ 74 MPH, pretty impressive....look out TGP :)
