DON'T DO IT!!! Don't get the lame 27 watt fog light marker bulbs, gets some wattage in there to do some good and adjust the fog lights down so they light up the road from just off your view of the road from inside the car out to where the head lights pick up, when done proper its an excellent compliment.

USE A 50 WATT 885 Bulb instead!!!

So if you're recommending it Jeff I'm assuming there are no issues with the extra heat or the stock wiring not being sufficient to handle the extra power?

Of course, only 23 watts more  , even ran 100watts for a time, far from melting wires or plastic!  Vast improvment and the fogs are very well focused long as you adjust them properly!

I've been running 55 watters in mine for a loong time now, and had no adverse effects. Aim them properly and you'll enjoy the extra light they put out.

Both 27 Watt factory lights

55 Watt on the left (lower), 27 Watt on the right

Both 55's

Fricking emocons are asleep so will just say Luke, that blows me away (bows humbly!!).

The 100 watts I ran were to test the limits, and the lens did get pretty warm, almost hot but no melting or such problems, 50 or 55 watts are perfect, I hacked some PIAA Super White H3 and added them to the 881 and made my own.

Again, very nice info Luke!!! 8)

Luke, thanks for the pictures, those are great!  So what is the part number for the lights you used that were 55 watt?

I can't remember the number off hand.. They were Sylvania's from Wal-mart, and they look exactly like the stock 27 watt bulbs, but they are labeled 55 watt instead.
