Swapped door handles today and after closing the door, have discovered the door won't open.....like, from the inside or the outside.  Door isn't locked, pulled off panel inside interior to make sure it wasn't locked, used the key to make sure it wasn't locked.

Any ideas on what to do next or am I basically screwed and going to be using one door from now on?

Car won't be moving very far for another week probably so any solutions would be appreciated....

Check to make sure the linkages are in the lock actuator correctly.

I feels like they are fine and I didn't lock the door when I was swapping handles, I can't verify anything behind the door handle area because I can't get to it obviously?  Where else would I look, taking the door handle covering section on the interior panel and moving the lock around feels normal, where else can I look to verify with the door shut?  I haven't ever had the door panels off so I don't know much about where to look for problems?

Try pulling real hard on the door.   My donor car is like that.  It is just sticky or something.

I guess I can post an update here..

We took the car to a locksmith, after some toying around he got the door open  ......so all is fine and dandy, didn't even charge us, door opening perfect.  Then someone got the bright idea of locking the door before I got to look at it like a genious they were....and go to open it.....doesn't open  :x    :x GRRR so now door is stuck shut and we are still back to stage one.  So we know its something to do with the locking mechanism but not sure what.  Lock on the inside moves what tugged on from in the door inside that plastic covering, but still doesn't fully unlock or something.  So we are back to figured out what to do.  Probably call that lock guy back and see what he says? ba :x

unscrew the trim piece behind the door handle on the inside and move the linkage by hand for the lock.
