Why is it that the TGP has a Coolant level sensor on the rad.....has 3 prongs and info gets sent to the ECM?

is there something on the DIC that tells you "LOW COOLANT"???

im just wondering cause my 1992 CS only has a open circuit which is taken to ground then the 2 prong Coolant sensor on the rad experiances low coolant.

just curious cause im looking through my TGP supplement and my 1992 Cutlass Manual and there are a few diffrences in the wiring and ECM pins

thanks

Yea Dave we get a big red LOW COOLANT on the dash by the engine check light. Seen it on mine a few dozen times.

I do to on my 1992 Cutlass but i guess its only the TGP that has this sent by the ECM first... :?

like i said above my CS just grounds the sensor circuit when low coolant.... no ECM involved.....

comparing the 2 cars there is alot of diffrences in the wiring i have found out......
