update on my new car

Hey guys, what's new, haven't posted in a while.  Since I sold the TSTE last fall, I have missed driving a turbo car.  So I decided to fix that.  :)  Here's what I've been working on with my 01 GTP.

What I am installing:


















It's the cartuning turbo kit with the upgraded turbo.  Non IC'd for now.  What do you guys think of this kit?  I'm waiting for the blockoff plate, PCM, injectors, plugs, gaskets, and lower downpipe.  I was able to buy a used kit.


Spare M90 case to gut and use as a upper intake




Ported exhaust manifolds are also going on.  I'm still waiting for the front one.




Might do something with this extra valve cover




Also, I added a 3 gauge pillar.  I have boost, trans temp, oil pressure, and a scan gauge to install.  I need to find a 4th spot for the scan gauge.






SLP gen 1 spoiler, rear debadged




MPD F1 hood, need to paint and install the grills








What's replacing "GTP Supercharged" on the doors  8)




I'm also installing 1.9 rockers, I got a used set of modified stockers.  Can't wait to hear the turbo sound again!

Ummmm.....yeah, so the first time you step on the gas you'll realize this is nothing like your TSTE.  It is a very nice setup and I can't wait to see/hear about how well it runs.  An intercooler for the future would be nice, but you should be happy with the power it has for now compared to your TSTE.  Hopefully you're saving for a tranny.

And as much as the guys on club gp say they don't like the modified 1.9 rockers, I think they're great and I know you'll like them. (especially compared to the Intense roller rockers that fall apart) We have the modified 1.9's in our '00 SSEi and '04 Monte SS, used to have them in the GTP before it got an XP cam, and I think they're awesome.

Looks like we know who's going to have the fastest Turbo GP on this board now. :shock: Looks good Greg! You definitely need to get an intercooler when you can...I think I saw one guy running around 113-114mph traps with that kit non-intercooled though. 8)

????  Where did that come from?  Anyways, like I said before, it should run pretty damn good when you get done and I think you'll be seriously impressed.  Hello to 110+mph traps!
