I was playing around with the cam & tripod the other day at the local park when I decided to get a random exhaust clip. It turned out much better than the last exhaust clip I posted here sometime last year...In the video, I put the car in gear and accelerate at a normal pace so that you can hear the exhaust. At higher throttle levels, the exhaust is barely audible. The slight whistling/air sound you hear is the turbocharger sucking air, the K&N straight on the compressor inlet makes it pretty loud even when drivng normally(especially noticeable when you're between buildings or in this case where a lot of trees are on each side of the road). Still the same ol' setup(carsound cat, universal resonator, 2.5'' piping back to the stock tips....fixing to ditch the stock tips since I had to neck down the pipe really small right there to attach them. The stock tips are pretty thick walled too, so the sound should change a tad.)

or use this one if that one goes down

And, here's a crappy picture to boot.  The sun was going down and low lighting + a lot of trees around isn't exactly ideal for taking pictures of a black car.  :icon_redface:

Crossposted this here from the W' board for those that don't visit over there. Planning on making some more vids within the next few days when I get a chance to.

Sweet looking ride (looks just like mine  :icon_mrgreen: )  Just curious if you removed the pinstripes and molding or if yours came that way??

Prospeeder

Wow that sounds nice, thats exactly what i want mine to sound like, Im prolly gonna do the exact setup as you, did it help with performance at all when you put it on? and is it really loud, or just right?

That was after a quick wash. ;) I've been driving the car a little more since the weather has been nice. Gonna wash/wax/detail soon + take pictures when the sun is actually out.

Tricstea, the car never had any pinstriping on it as far as I know.

Prospeeder, I don't know how much the exhaust helped. I bought the car with the high flow cat + resonator on it already. It had stock piping on it save for where the cat/res were adapted. It seemed to be ever so slightly stronger "up top" when I added the 2.5'' piping..or maybe it's my imagination. I'm thinking about ditching the cat and adding another straight-through style resonator in it's place as soon as I fix the x-over on the car. If it sounds bad, I'll probably throw another high flow cat on there. The car is about as loud as it sounds in the video, it has a very noticeable idle and a low growl when accelerating. As I said above, it's nearly whisper quiet upon higher throttle input(did you ever see those two WOT takeoff vids I posted on the W' board before? If not, I can rehost/post them here.)
