1) Jeff, where in Minnesota are you located?

2) To anyone who has bought the chip, what kind of gains can I expect? Horse, torque, fuel loss if any...What all goes into the process of installing the chip? I know nothing about chips or how they're made...Is the Top Gun a whole new chip in itself or my old one reprogrammed?

Anyone who can help, please do so. Please post anything you like or don't like about the chip, and anything a person who is considering to buy a chip should consider before hand. Also, if it's not permitted for the price to be disclosed in public, can Jeff or Jim, or any moderator PM me info and pricing on the Top Gun chip, and how long of a wait would be expected before it's done?

Thanks alot!

Do not buy a chip or make one for yourself until you know all Mechanical issues are correct and working properly!

Jeff's chips have helped alot of people.

You can also do your own chips and learn about your car for about the same price.

I am sure a few will post their likes and dislikes...but I tune my own car/chip with help from time to time. :icon_cool:

dont talk about where he is. its ok to talk money, price and all that.

Its like 2-3-4 hundred somethin dollars now for a top gun 160.  worth way more that that if you were to ask me. but if anyone were to find a flaw in his chip, it would have to be someone from this board, or the makers of the chip at Mclaren who helped Jeff do his.

http://turbograndprix.com/ this is the place with the info but im not seeing the link that he used to have with all of the info on his different chips!  anyone have the exact link

i think the chips are like 340 with the k&n that he sells with it...from my own experience it was the only thing that i was impressed with after installing it on my car!! huge thumbs up for the performance improvment! when i was completely stock i tied my friends stock nissan maxima (96 auto) with just my exhuast cut-out i could barely pull on him i beat him by maby a half a car (1/4 mile)!  now with the chip (tg160) and K&N (oh and 160 thermostat that comes with what jeff sells) i can pull on his nissan from any speed and beat him by maby 3 or 4 cars in 1/4!! so it was a major difference (i trapped 96.5 on a run last year and i think my friends nissan trapped 89 so i think i must have picked up 5 or 6mph on my trap)....my car also runs smoother and the last time i went on a long distance trip my avg hiway milage was around 26 (60-75mph)....

so i suggest it big time......like others said though make sure you get general maintenance done first (escpecially the crossover/o2 sensor if your noticing alot of drivablility problems)....

Not only a slip but I would want to see a video of that too. 96.8 is what my Talon ran at 14.1 in the 1/4. :icon_neutral:

I trapped in the high 96s the last time I raced my TGP, and that was with the stock cat yet.

As far as chips are concerned I can make you a similar one for $20, which pays the for the used memcal and shipping.  Ask Prospeeder how he likes my chip.   :icon_mrgreen:
