R Dubya

undo the belt from the alternator, take off the three bolts that hold on the alternator bracket to the rear head, pop that sucker off and you've got unbelievable access to the rear plugs.  you can fit your head back there with it out.  this way you dont have to undo the front engine mounts, its my way of doing i guess everyone does it different, but I think its easiest this way.  Three bolts on the mount, undo the ground and bracket on the rear of the alternator and thats it.  So much room to work.

Good luck.

It doesn't run anymore.

So I can just remove the alternator instead? Does that work easier?

Be SUPER carful not the strip the lines! and replace the little orings! And relive the fuel pressure, i did it by unplugging the fuel pump the connector is up by the top of the fuel tank, youll see it. THen just run the car dry

Do what?

Prospeeder

Unplug the fuel pump and start the car till it dies to releive the fuel pressure, just at idle, it only will take a few seconds, then just crank it a few times to make sure all the gas is out

I got you.

Another way is (WITH A COLD ENGINE) take the cap off the schrader valve, throw a rag over the valve, and depress it with the key off. It will relieve the pressure in about 1 second and you are on your way. Just don't turn the key back on till you are done! By the time you are finished replacing the fuel filter the gas will have evaporated from pooling in the oil pump drive top's cavity and you are on your way. ;)

Prospeeder

Eh, i guess that works, i like my way because there almost No gas what so ever in the lines wich makes it easy
