sound like you had fun!  i definately don't want to do that ever again.  to pull the HVAC box away from the firewall you gotta remove like 4 nuts from the engine bay side of the firewall, and then one more bolt inside the car on the passenger side.  it's a bitch alright.

Hmm..so there was one hidding inside  :icon_rolleyes:.

My PMIII is GONE. You have to slam the brake peddal to make it work again. IT sticks over night like if its rusted inside or something (prob cracked plate). Accum is leaking too. Pump works for a while and then when you push the pedal..it won't stop running untill the light blinks and the pump stops working. This PMIII is a nice gizmo..but I can live without it. I had already planed to rob accum from BMW brake sys or Mercedies suspension. Weld the plate up or something..but its too far gone. OH well.

Now comes the HARD Part

Sorry to bring up an old post, but this is somewhat on topic.

When converting from the PMIII to the vacuum brakes, leaving the car an auto, i need to swap out the firewall plate with one from a vacuum brake/automatic car, correct?

Also, there is no way to modify this bracket so that I don't have to rip the whole dash out to change this thing over?

Thanks.

I know its outdated but i though I post my idea to not remove the dash from the TGP.

This is a vacume power boosted brake fiirewall braket from a 90 lumina. My shotcut is cutting off the needed part and welding and then bolt it to the TGP via the four bolts.

The red line is where you need to cut out from the junk yard or the plate you removed to work with easier, the red dots are the spot welds you need to drill out. The green line is where you need to trim the plate and the blue lines is where you need to weld on the firewall braket. After that you can unbolt the TGP PMIII holding braket and then cut the center hole on the TGP firewall to clear the vacume brake booster. Now just bolt on the vacume brake booster braket. No dash removal. Just brake peddal modding, brake lines. But ill have to dubble check.
