Weighed the TGP today

I had a friend of mine offer me a chance to weigh my car today over at his family's farm & feed store. They have a large digital scale that they weigh trucks and whatnot on. Anyways, I had a little over a 1/2 tank of gas and it weighed in at 3403 w/o me in it. I was searched the board and found an old post by Skalor, he weighed his car in at 3390lbs with an auto transaxle and a 1/2 tank of gas, so these weight figures are probably very close. Both my car and skalor's old car have sunroofs.

Anyone weighed a TGP w/o sunroof before? ;)

I will soon :icon_cool: made tons of progress on it today.... that seems kinda light to me. I weighed my sunroofed and dual batteried car with a huge stereo system and it was like 3800+lbs on its own. It was on a truck weigh station. the new car is about to fire up so I will let you know.

:laugh: I glanced quickly at the pictures you guys took together and got them mixed up. I'm definitely going to reweigh my car on a few different scales now to see what I come up with. I have three more scales that are right around my area(truck weigh station, sandpit, and a scrapyard that has a recently installed scale).

Man..with all those options and wiring..this things are tanks!
My 87 thunderbird has the same problem. Im getting rid of the ride controll and wiring, My ford vesion of the PMIII is going on it too so later on it will go. That alone should be about 130lbs. All the noise dammpening is about 40lbs wich is gone. Passenger seat is gone too since it broke..that 40lbs on its own replacing with non electronic unit at about 20lbs.

But on my TGP..I can see how hard it is to loose a option  :icon_cry: . They are must haves on this car.
