This summer has been a waste of time I swapped the head earlier this year and found out it is cracked, but I lucked out and picked up a spare set. Plus I have no extra cash for the new gaskets I need so I haven't gotten to race with the new chip from Flybynite :icon_frown: My Black TGP is running okay need to swap the trans filter and flush the trans and find out where my miss is.

Changed oil (hadnt been done since '09) Guess the car sat for a while  :icon_eek:

Changed plugs, air filter, fuel filter.  Car runs MUCH better now.  Now I just gotta tackle the annoying electrical stuff and see about a place that will give me some R12, cuz its hot outside!!!

Changed trans fluid and filter...
Fluid came out kinda dark and only 5.5 quarts!!!!  :icon_eek:  It took 7 quarts to fill it up, I didnt drive it too much like that, but I am wondering where all the fluid went cuz it doesnt leak

The previous person that worked on the car probably didn't fill it up correctly.

Braided fuel lines...

Today I pulled the fins on the condenser, not nearly as hard as people make it seem, but my hands are cut up..  I also completely deleted the hoses going to the throttle body and plugged the lines, so now there is just the coolant line running to the turbo.

I wasnt sure if this was a good idea, because it was removing a bypass of coolant, but I read a post from Chris A that says theoretically it should be ok *crossing fingers*  http://www.w-body.com/archive/index.php/t-1769.html

I am also going to drill a small hole in the T-stat to hopefully ease any issues...

Could you post some pics or do a parts list of the braided fuel lines.

ill get some close up pics of it, i only have 1 braided fuel line, the other one is normal, i would tell you the parts but i got the car this way and don't know what the previous owner used just that he did it to mount a fuel pressure sensor for an autometer gauge

flat black tgp is gone... crushed .   the rear suspension actually caved into the unibody ... northeast car + tons of launches - served as a great test bed for my holset/ 5 speed setup but now all the bugs are out, everything is getting swapped into a clean red tgp w/ 80k.    maybe ill start a build thread when it all goes back together....    we need to see some more action around here.

Agreed.  I check the forum at least once a day.  It's a surprise to find anything new.  I have been doing a little here and there on mine, hopefully I will be doing more this spring.  I'll post some.  I am more active on the W-Body forum.  Seems like no one would notice if I posted here.  :-(
