Anyone got a spare Getrag 282 that I can have the shift fork out of.  Mine seemed to work its way past the throwout bearing and got all torn up by the clutch/Pressure plate... YUM  Let me know.  Thanks.

i bought a Getrag 282 with a messed up throwout bearing fork once.  i think i bought a replacement at the GM dealer.  FYI you need to remove the outer end bearing and replace it.  i think the fork was around $110 and the bearing was $55 but it's been 3 years since i bought that stuff.

i found the old thread i posted on W-body when i had this problem:

yeah...me talking to myself haha.  i don't think anyone else had run into this problem with the 282   seems like such a long time ago!

bearing part #867-2414 - it was $55 from the dealership in October 2003; hopefully they are still available!  i can't find the PN for the throwout bearing fork, i wish i had posted it in that thread :icon_sad:  i still have that 282 sitting in my garage.  i'll see if i can find a PN on it but i kinda doubt i'll find one.

Called the dealer and no go on the shift fork.  Discontinued.  Anyone got an extra one lying around???
