will 2.8 heads work on TGP? Cracked head

My heads are either cracked or severly warped ....I have aluminum heads from a 1988 2.8 motor.  I need to know if these heads work on my TGP?  Are they the same heads?      thanks

My understanding that the only difference between the 2.8 and 3.1 is the crank stroke. It is possible that these heads will work...but I would be concerned with valve spring strength compared to the 3.1 turbo motor. It might be possible that they use a weaker spring and you might run into valve float issues. Not 100% certain but I would do some research first. ;)
