Thats starting at the wrong end. Check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail. 20 bucks for a gauge and hose that will screw on to the shrader valve. Put it where you can see it when you turn the key on. Should be 40#+ immediatly and hold. If thats good go to the next phase and check your injectors. A new pump doesen't prove it's a good pump.

Don't have to pull th manifold. Disconnect the two mini conectors that are in front of the computer. They should ohm out from about 37 to 39. Your checking three injectors at a time. If your way off then you will have to pull the manifold and check each one.

Get that done and let us know what you find.

A MultiMeter. You can pick them up at most parts stores, sears, walmart, ebay, etc.

I bet it was a clogged cat. I had very similar symptoms in my g/f's old 87 Z24 and that was the problem.
