well just ran the code and got 45:

Rich exhaust  Check for a sticking M/C solenoid. Check wiring at M/C solenoid connector. Check the evaporative charcoal canister and its components for the presence of fuel. Check for fuel contaminated oil. Check the fuel pressure regulator. Check for a leaking fuel injector. Check for a sticking EGR valve. Replace the oxygen sensor.

what's m/c and anybody have any ideas what i should check first?

can you list all of your mods?  is this an all stock TGP engine with 30lb injectors or what?  i'm kind of wondering why you put the 30lb injectors in...

Bad 02 sensor or connection. Probably too much fuel and it is flogging the 02 sensor with fuel.

well bear with me on this one.  alot of ppl are getting confused:

it's a 3.1 n/a with larger injectors and has the code in the custom chip to handle the larger injectors.  turbo setup is installed but the acuator is disconnected so i'm not running boost at the moment until i get the tranny rebuilt to handle the power and larger exhaust done.  this is on a 3.1 cavalier and has a larger fuel pump and 2bar map installed.

is there anyway to look at the o2 sensor and see if it's bad.  like covered in carbon or replace it?

i think the 30lb injectors are your problem.  probably too much fuel with stock fuel pressure.  there is really no reason for them to be in there at this point.  i'd go back to stock TGP chip and injectors for now.

as for O2 sensor...do you have an A/F gauge?  that will tell you if it's working.  or you can put a digital multimeter on it.

don't have the a/f hooked up yet.  i can test it with my multimeter, what kind of readings should i be getting?

Got me clueless. I just replace them if I think they are giving me crappy or irratic numbers when logging. The Bosch ones are the cheapest but it will not last long on our setup. Too much heat maybe.

I buy the GM ones from the dealer and they work the best and longest. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BLACK OR PURPLE WIRED 02 SENSORS! NONE ZERO ZILCH ZIPPO! I have run both and tested both...no difference.

you should see the voltage rapidly swing up and down between 0 and 1 volt when (if) the engine goes into closed loop.
