Hey guys,

I am in the process of making a "HOT TUNE" for the TGP/TSTE. I have shown a gain of 45HP and 60ft/lbs of torque over another chip in the TSTE.

I am going to load stock parameters tomorrow and see the increase over stock.

I need someone at or close to sea-level density, WITH a datalogger!, and who is knowledgable with tunes and what to look for with an extreme tune.

This is not for someone with a crappy or loose tranny either! I have an 18,000lbs tranny cooler on the TSTE. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR TRANNY OR MOTOR! That is why I say I need someone with knowledge of what to look for with such a hot tune.

Your car needs to have new or fully functioning sensors, plugs, wires, etc, etc, etc!

PM me if you wish to be a guinee pig. It would be ideal if you had access to a Dyno Dynamics dyno to also do a HP/TQ run on.

Peace!

Nine peaks and no volunteers?  :icon_lol: Chickens!

Here is what I am showing for gains without timing changes. This is purely getting ride of the well over 10:1 A/F the stock fuel tables and the other chip has. It is rediculous to have more than 12:1 A/F with 1Bar of boost on these cars.

I will post up the A/F graph tomorrow. I thought I saved it to this disk to show.

If you want to know what a Dyno-Jet, SuperFlow, or Mustang number would be just add 30-35% to either HP or Torque.

I would offer to help you, but the car is off the road for the winter, I am also running a Crane 2020 cam, and I could datalog but I am not too knowledgeable with it, and I admit I have peeked a couple of times.  Good luck though, I would be more than willing to help in the spring if I still have the car.

It doesn't run anymore.

I'd also be willing to help out, but the TGP has become the daily driver again since the GTP spun a bearing.
Once I get that thing back on the road, I'd be willing to do some testing for you. The tranny in the TGP is pretty strong still, so I have confidence in it.

Those are impressive gains. What type of boost control are you using and how much boost were you running w/ your chip Kenny? ;)

Using the stock wastegate control circuit. It was running 12-12.5 psi.

Well the car turned a 14.698 @ 93.19 tonight with  2.2 60'.

I got 5 runs in and the best run was after a long cool down. The rest were hot laps at 15.009 @ 92.70, 15.272 @ 92.50 and the slowest "good run" was a 15.546 @ 88.92. That slow run was my dumbassedness leaving it in 1st and getting it to second after damn near blowing the motor from overrev! :icon_redface: The other run was terrible due to traction (high psi in the tires) and getting it dialed in for the night.

No knock at all with 3.5 gallons of 100 proof mixed with probably 2 gallons of 91 pump gas.

awesome Kenny!  the TSTE is officially faster than the 5-speed TGP then? :icon_exclaim:

Was that at Bandimere Kenny? If so, your TSTE is moving! ;)

Just going off altitude corrections alone, that best run would equate to a 13.62 @ 100.49mph.

I did some rough calculations guestimating the times of your run(I found that the event you went to is open from 4-9pm, then looked up weather conditions for the past 24hrs there) and correcting for weather + altitude and ended up with about a 13.2-13.3 @ 102mph, :icon_eek:

EDIT: revamped my calcuations slightly(figured them out for exactly 5860ft as Bandimere is stated to be.  Use .926625 x ET for your corrections there Kenny, and 1.07835 x trap speed. I figured up those #'s based on the NHRA "stock" correction factors, they only list 100' intervals so I had to tweak their numbers slightly).

looking at old records you knocked 1.3 sec of my best time in that car (it was a 15.9) with just chip tuning.

Yupper that was at Banidmere. :icon_mrgreen:

So 15.9 was the best Tom? I looked for the old slips you said might be in the car or the folder you gave me when I bought the car and didn't see anything. Not bad for a three hours of chip tweaking eh?  :icon_mrgreen:
