this is on my 3.1 auto cavy:
well, got the z almost back to running right, except while having the throttle slightly open it bucks/lunges. it seems to be the only time it does it. and if i hold it there it will do it until i press harder on the gas. the other thing i notice is when braking the rmps jump around slightly, but at idle and while driving they are perfect.

everything with the fuel system is new.  no vac leaks.  so i'm thinking something electrical or bad mounts maybe?

The Master

Hi. By coincidence I am having my mounts replaced Monday. Lower motor mount and transmission mount.
I noticed a clunk/buck every now and again. When shifting into reverse usually. Sometimes when shifting into 2nd or 3rd. Never noticed anything when braking.
From what I've learned if the mounts are original they are bad. When I replaced my dog bones it got a little better. Thats how I knew what needed to be done.
Hope this helps in some way.

So was the tranny mount the problem behind the clunking?
