I got it!  the drive home was sweet. mom kept telling me to slow down hehe.  ok I noticed the disc brakes on the front are grabbing. the ones on the back aren't there still rusty. what would cause that?

A few different causes. The first is that you said your master cylinder was having issues. The rear brakes are solely activated by pump pressure. There is no way to manually activate the rear brakes unlike a conventional master cylinder which will work the front and rear brakes even with no assist.

The second is the rear caliapers could be frozen. The sliders corrode and don't allow the caliper to grab the disc. I will have some information soon on my site as I am working on a writeup about the rear discs hanging up.

thanks. the pump isn't working so thats most likely the reason.
