Hud probs!

Hi this is my first post and im happy to be a owner of a 1989 black tgp. But i have a question for someone how do i get the hud check gauges light off of my hud?  i have tryed 3 new  clusters and it still will not work and i have even tryed solderin them again. If you could help me out that would be great.

sounds either like an internal problem on the HUD or wiring issue, like one of the wires are broken or contacting a ground, does the light ever flicker or anything?

Sorry it took me so long to reply no it dose not. The hud truns on and i see it but all it says is  check gauges. I did the chip sodering thing just in case  the board looked great but i resodered it anyways. Anything you can think of would be great

Sounds like maybe a short in the Speedo cluster that is sending the false guages light up on the HUD. I know our clusters are known to have problems.
