Alright, I'm out searching for my new digital camera, but I need input. What do you guys suggest using? I want a bright, crisp, sharp image, like a professional quality, only for under $300 if I can...as close to professional as I can get for that cheap. I could spend more, but it';s all going for the TGP. The problem is, you cant really see how the picture will turn out; in my experience the little view finder shows the pictures as their taken but not always how they're printed out. So, if anyone can make suggestions, or provide pictures you've taken with a great camera and provide a model number, it'd be great!

You have seen many of the pics I've taken, and I have a Sony Cybershot.

I just bought a Kodak Easy Share C875 8MG camera for 180 bucks from radio shack. Its able to be used with the kodak photo printer station, but doesnt come with it. It also is true 8MP and not simulated. I took about 300 pics, and 30 mins of video with it at my freinds wedding a couple weeks ago. The video is as good as a medium quality video camera. And the pics were all "ok". I bought the camera on my way to the wedding, so i didnt have much of a change to get used to it, and how it worked befor the wedding. I took some recent shots of the snow, and weather. These pics turned out EXCELENT! Bright, crisp, sharp. It has a 5x optical zoom, as well as a dual stage digital zoom. Details of camera can be found at the Kodak Website at www.kodak.com . Assuming this link works, it will take you to the Specifications page.. http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=9562&pq-locale=en_US .

The pics are hosted at Photobucket.com so their size and quality is probly deminished considerably.

Here is a pic I just took of a poster on my wall.

Heres a pic I took a little while ago of a glass rose on a Italian wood back ground. You can see fingerprint smudges, cat hair, and even the imperfections of the glass.

Here is me doing a close up of my cat. The camera is about 5 inchs in front of him.

Here is a pic taken without a tripod about 300 feet from my TGP using only full optical zoom. Trash can is about 50-60 feet away.

Full optical zoom, and first part of digital zoom (no tri-pod, so will be slightly fuzzy)

Full Optical zoom, and 2 stage digital zoom (no tri-pod, Slightly Fuzzy)

I got mine from Radio Schack for 180 bucks. I bought it there cause it was the cheapest I had found for that camera, and I could buy a extended warenty for little money. It does have a internal memory card. But at 8MP, it will take probly 16 photos befor its full. I bought a 1 gig card.

Any questions, let me know.
