Hey, I was gonna get some new plugs and wires for my TGP. I used to always put AC Delco rapid fires in my 91 GP 3.1, is that still the plug of choice for the turbos or is there something else I should go with, also what wires do you recommend? I don't really mind spending like $100-$150 or so on it all, I just want pretty much the best I can get for it.

For plugs, I'd use Rapidfires.  They work great ;)

Save your money and use the standard R42LTS resistor plugs by AC Delco($2/each)...they were in the cars from the factory. For wires, the factory Delco's are fine too. Advance Auto(along with their sister stores...kragen, schucks, checker) carry the factory AC Delco wires and lifetime warranty them. They're right around $45-50.

Any noticeable differences between the Taylor wires and the AC Delcos?

I have the same setup as Kuntzie and  I personally cannot feel a difference but I'm sure there would be some gain. Also meltboy bring up aftermarket coil packs in this thread if you don't mind. Thanks Jimmy

well I was gonna hold of on the aftermarket coil packs for now since I am having a hard enough time putting gas in my tank...lol but they are planned for the future... :p
And thanks for the info on the plugs and wires.

Aftermarket coil packs are going to be a waste of money. Just stick with the Delcos. Most aftermarket coils for these motors have been shown to fail early and show no gains over stock.

Stock plugs, Stock coils, and stock wires. Dont waste your money..

I have only upgraded the wires cause I could! The rest offer nothing.

Stock AC Delco's are more than good enough

Just FWIW, the 97+ supercharged GP crowd uses stock coilpacks(much like ours, BUT in my experience, the older/original coilpacks on our cars are more reliable) in their modified 300, 400, and 500+ horsepower cars.

i did notice a difference.. in the 1/4 mile aswell... the only thing it the plugs were getting old in the car so they were sortof due for new ones..
i ran

15.1 with stock/ original plugs and wires (like 61k miles)

i then got plus and taylor 8mm wires and i ran a 14.8 or 14.78 something like that.. the next day, and it was more humid
